B.A. in Early Childhood Education with Illinois Teacher Licensure (Preparation)
This degree program prepares students for licensure and includes field experiences and clinical practice components at both the pre-primary and primary levels. Obtaining an Early Childhood Education degree with Illinois Teacher Licensure, allows you to teach children (birth through Grade 3) in schools that require a state certification or license*.

*If your state has licensure comparable to Illinois (early childhood education, birth through Grade 3), it may recognize the Illinois teacher license and allow reciprocity with your state. To learn more about what your state requires in terms of recognizing an out-of-state license, please contact your state’s board of education or teacher licensing/certification department.

Students of the Early Childhood Education degree program will choose an area of concentration in either Childhood Nutrition, English as a Second Language (ESL), Special Education or Infants and Toddlers.
