B.A. in Early Childhood Education with Illinois Type 04 Teacher Certification (Preparation)
This degree programs prepares students for certification and includes field experiences and clinical practice components at both the pre-primary and primary levels. Obtaining an Early Childhood Education degree with Illinois Type 04 Teacher Certification, allows you to teach children (birth through age 8) in schools that require state certification*.

*If your state has licensure comparable to Illinois Type 04 (early childhood education, birth through third grade), it may recognize Illinois certification and allow reciprocity with your state. To learn more about what your state requires in terms of recognizing an out-of-state license, please contact your state’s board of education or teacher licensing/certification department.
