Kendall for me was probably the only way I felt I could get my BA degree, because of the online program. And because of what I do for a living. I feel connected to the education field 'cause I do work for elementary teachers. So I could put the pieces together in a natural environment, and feel like the whole world was at my fingertips.

The Early Childhood Education program prepares its teacher candidates for exciting, rewarding careers working with young children. Whether you are just beginning your bachelor’s degree or have already accumulated some college credit, you can enter Kendall’s Early Childhood Education program at any stage in your education. We offer students three practical tracks that suit a variety of career goals. Choose the one that best meets your needs:

B.A. in Early Childhood Education with Illinois Type 04 Teacher Certification Preparation is for those seeking state certification.  

B.A. in Early Childhood Education (non-certification) is available for those interested in teaching in the field where state certification is not required. 

Post-baccalaureate, Illinois Type 04 Teacher Certification Preparation is for students who have already earned a B.A. or a B.S. degree and wish to complete preparation requirements for the Illinois Type 04 Certification.
